Map Editor

Gijs-Jan December 27, 2011 Prototype Defense No Comments

So, before we release 1.5, our target stable & paid version, we wanted to finish work on the Map Editor.

This tool will probably be released to the public, along with a online repository in which you can store, exchange and rate your newly created maps! This Map Editor will have access to every aspect of the game our designer has acces to:

  1. Edit & design levels
  2. The Event Timeline; along with all events we have access to. (Waves / popups / etc)
  3. Animations & Effects
  4. Paths & Lines, and how enemies walk over them

Some teaser screenshots:

The Map Editor overview

The Event Time Line
What will happen in my level, and when?

Cell options
How will my level look? How will it behave?

Animations / Effects
What kind of animations would I like to add to my map, and what kind of extra effects?
Effects like slow down, damage or multiply the enemy.
